The college Faculty believes that undergraduate
degree in Nursing is to provide an Educational Programme through
which graduates will be prepared to assure responsibilities in the
primary intermediate and tertiary care of people as professional
nurses
We believe that after successfully completing ,
Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme the graduate will be qualified to
work as a First level Nurse in Hospital & community. It is also
experienced that graduates are capable of supervising & teaching
of Nursing Health care activities in different setting and to
participate in first level education and administration of Nursing
services.
The B.Sc. Nursing graduate programme
provides a base for further progress in NUrsing profession and
develop well balanced personality -Nature through to evaluate
herself and accept others' view for becoming a good individual ,
efficient professionals citizen.
We also believe graduate should devleop critical
thinking and aptitude for Research and provide leadership in
Nursing

The B.Sc. Nursing graduates will be able to
provide Primary Intermediate and tertiary level of Nursing care in
different situations providing promotive, creative and
rehabilitate care to the individual family and community. She is
also expected to assume leadership and will be able to teach
,communicate, evaluate and conduct research at the first level.
OBJECTIVES
The B.Sc. Nursing graduates will be able to
Provide Primary ,Intermediate and tertiary
level of Nursing care, using advance technology with applied
Basic Sciences to the individual, Family and community.
Educate the individual, family community and
health personnel in Various setting and develop skill in human
relationship as well as communication in her daily work at
various level.
Demonstrate leadership skill in working with
health team community and others who are providing health
care.
Demonstrate skill in use of problem solving
method in Nursing practice.
Identify research area, conduct small
research study participate actively in research of other
professional for better management in quality Nursing care.
Demonstrate abilities in self awareness, self
evaluation in personal, ethical and professional development.
Gather available health resources in
community ,state, national & international level and use of it
,when required.
Develop balanced personalities ,Nature enough
to evaluate herself and accepts the others view for becoming a
good individual, efficient professional and a responsible
citizen.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the course is to assist the
students to become a professional person ,who is committed to the
promotion of health , prevention of disease, care and
rehabilitation of sick .Nursing is concerned with
individual patient , Family and community.
The college of Nursing , Ahmedabad provides
opportunities for the students to integrate and utilize knowledge
, understanding and skill from the different fields of learning
necessary for the practice of nursing. The curriculum has been
planed to provide breadth of knowledge to enable the graduate of
the programme to function effectively in varied nursing situation
where the nurse will work as a member of the health team with
patient group of families and community in urban and rural area.
